Barking Nipsey was founded by a mother and daughter duo, united by their love for dogs, passion for fashion, and a shared vision to bring something special to the pet industry. Mom, a former Chief Human Resource Officer with experience in global Fortune 500 companies, and her lovely daughter, a talented gymnast with multiple first-place awards, noticed a gap in the market for unique dog clothing. Together, they decided to create a line that would stand out and bring joy to both pets and their owners.
Their story began when the daughter convinced mom to bring home a dog named Nipsey to support her brother, whose ADHD behavior was soothed by the calming presence of animals. Witnessing the positive effect Nipsey had on their family, Mom adopted him, and he quickly became a cherished companion. Inspired by his bold personality, she began having custom outfits made for him. Everywhere they went, Nipsey's fashionable attire turned heads, with people often stopping to ask where they could find similar clothing for their dogs. His vibrant spirit, always barking at anyone who didn’t greet him, only added to his charm.
